Your use of this site is subject to the following Terms and Conditions. By using this site, contacting us or ordering tickets from us you confirm that you have read and accept the Terms and Conditions in their entirety.

1. Contract

1.1 A legally binding contract will come into existence when we accept your order.

1.2 Acceptance of an order placed by you is subject to the condition that tickets are available for the session selected by you.

1.3 We will notify you by email if we accept your order. Acceptance will be deemed to have been effectively communicated to you when we send the email (whether or not you receive such communication).

1.4 No order will be accepted until we have received full payment for the cost of the tickets plus booking charges and, where applicable, postage and VAT.

1.5 Once purchased, tickets cannot be transferred or exchanged.

1.6 If MegaCon or a MegaCon session is cancelled we will notify attendees by posting on the website. For megagames and playtests, we will also inform registered attendees by email.

1.7 If MegaCon or a MegaCon session is moved to another date or time we will notify attendees by posting on the website. For megagames and playtests, we will also inform registered attendees by email.

1.8 Tickets which are resold or transferred for any reason by anyone other than MegaCon will become voidable and the holder will be refused access.

2. Price and Dispatch

2.1 E-tickets will be dispatched to the email address given when the order is placed.

2.2 Customers are advised to check their purchase upon receipt and inform us of any errors as soon as possible.

2.3 It is the responsibility of the customer to inform us of any change of address, contact number or email address, both before and after the receipt of goods.

2.4 No duplicate tickets will be issued to replace lost or stolen tickets unless a suitable reason is given and accepted by MegaCon, who have the full and final decision.

2.5 If a customer orders more tickets than the maximum allowed as indicated during the booking process, we reserve the right to cancel the order.

2.6 We will not be responsible for failure of any digital delivery services employed to deliver on time.

3. Games, Seminars and Other Activities

3.1 The right to refuse admission to a session or activity is reserved by MegaCon at all times.

3.2 Attendees under the age of eighteen must be supervised by a parent or guardian. Some of our games may not be suitable for people under eighteen, and it is left to the discretion of the game designer whether they will permit them to play.

3.3 No refunds will be offered to customers who are refused entry or removed from MegaCon on account of late arrival, being or appearing to be under age, abusive, threatening, drunken or other anti-social behaviour, or making inappropriate audio, video or photographic recordings.

3.4 All MegaCon sessions are subject to work and personal commitments.

4. Liability

4.1 In all arrangements involving third parties we act only as your agent and no liability of any kind whatsoever shall be attached to us in connection with or arising from such an arrangement with a third party.

4.2 We do not accept any liability for any losses or claims arising from any inability to access our website or any failure to complete a booking on the website.

4.3 We do not accept liability for any indirect or consequential loss of any kind in contract, tort or otherwise arising out of the use of the website or the purchase of the tickets or other goods or services from us by whatever means.

4.4 Whilst every care is taken to ensure tickets or other goods or services ordered by you arrive with you on time, we do not accept liability for loss or damage that is caused by any event or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

4.5 To the fullest extent permitted by law we will not be responsible for loss, damage or injury to any person or their property howsoever caused.

5. Refunds

5.1 MegaCon tickets and Social Access Passes are non-refundable. Refunds may be available for Megagame tickets.

5.2 If you are no longer able to attend a megagame you have purchased a ticket for, you should cancel your ticket as soon as possible by contacting the MegaCon organisers through our contact page or by email to info@megacon.org.uk. Cancellations through other channels will not be accepted.

5.3 If you cancel your megagame ticket at least two weeks before MegaCon (i.e. on or before 5 March 2021 23:59 GMT) you will receive a full refund, less payment processing fees.

5.4 If you cancel your megagame ticket from two weeks before the start date of MegaCon (6 March 2021 00:00 GMT) to one day before the start date of MegaCon (18 March 2021 23:59 GMT) you will receive a 50% refund, less payment processing fees.

5.5 If you cancel your megagame ticket from one day before the start date of MegaCon (19 March 2021 00:00 GMT), you will not receive a refund.

5.6 If you have a ticket for a free MegaCon session but are no longer able to attend, please inform us as soon as possible.

6. Streaming and Recording

6.1 MegaCon reserves the right to stream and/or record any content related to MegaCon including, but not limited to: megagames, playtests, seminars, panels, podcasts, workshops and social games.

6.2 If you would like to stream or record any MegaCon content yourself, this will generally be permitted but please contact us ahead of time via e-mail at info@megacon.org.uk

6.3 MegaCon takes no responsibility for third parties streaming or recording their activities during MegaCon.

7. Conduct

7.1 MegaCon seeks to create a positive player community with a safe environment for all participants. Attendance at MegaCon is contingent on adhering to our code of conduct.

8. Use of our Website

8.1 We reserve the right to update or otherwise change the terms and conditions or amend the website at any time and without notice to you.

8.2 We will not accept any liability for tickets or other goods and services which have been ordered through our website or bought at MegaCon using your credit/debit card by someone not authorised to do so.

9. Invalidity

9.1 If any part of these conditions is unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you) the enforceability of any other part of these conditions will not be affected.

10. No Waiver

10.1 No failure or delay on the part of any parties to these conditions relating to the exercise of any right, power, privilege or remedy provided under these conditions shall operate as a waiver of such right, power or remedy.

11. Governing Law

11.1 These Terms and Conditions and our agreement with you under them shall be governed by English Law, and we agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdictions of the English Court for the determination of any dispute between us.
